
Heliconia hirsuta cv. Costa Flores
A smaller Heliconia which grows 3' to 6' ( 0.9m to 1.8m ) high in full sun to 30% of shade.
Inflorescence consisting of 6 to 8 bracts which are red to orange-red. Large yellow
sepals do have a black band near tip while the tip itself is white. This plant is growing
"zingiberoid" which means leaves are more or less horizontally arranged like it can be seen
on many gingers.
Blooming season: June to September
