

Costus stenophyllus - Bamboo Ginger
An interesting, elegant foliage plant with decorative stems reminiscent of bamboo for the brown colored
alternating bands. Conical intensive pure-red inflorescence produces light yellow flowers and is often called
'snake head' in Thailand.
Plant grows 4' to 6' high ( 1.20m to 1.80m ) preferably in filtered sunlight.
Minimum USDA hardiness zone 10.
One of the most ornamental gingers, both for foliage and inflorescence.
